Eczema & Dermatitis Treatment

In the UK alone one third of all new born babies have eczema, one fifth of all school age children and one in twelve adults suffer with eczema.

Dermatitis or Eczema is an inflammation of the skin, generally appearing as swollen, reddened and itchy. There are many different types of the disorder, each with a distinct sign which may affect all age groups each with its own symptoms the most common including redness, swelling, itching and skin lesions.

When people with eczema swim in the sea every day their eczema clears. Aalgo in a lukewarm bath turns your bath water into sea water, without the stinging effect of the salt, acting as a healer and exfoliater to your skin. On getting out of the bath, there is an invisible residue, which you absorb through your pores thus hydrating the skin from the inside out.

As a treatment for eczema Aalgo relieves the persistent itch, allowing for a better nights sleep and reduces overall redness, and in most cases clears it completely.

Atopic Eczema/Dermititis:

Probably the most common usually begins in infancy, frequently with new born babies, and varies in severity throughout childhood and adolescence. It is supposed to become less of a problem in adulthood – but we have noticed a vast increase of it continuing into adulthood in the last five years.

Aalgo is totally safe to use with babies from 4 weeks

Remember all Aalgo does is turn babies bath into: The same constituents as sea water without the salt. Decrease the amount of Aalgo you put in the bath in proportion to the amount of water 1 heaped teaspoonful in a small baby bath. I tablespoonful of Aalgo in a normal bath Aalgo is a natural exfoliant so the dry skin gently exfoliates away in the bath.

Use once a day until eczema has gone, once a week afterwards as a maintenance.

Just pat them dry, this allows the invisible residue to be absorbed through the pores and re-hydrate the skin from within.

First thing you will notice is the ITCH will GO and the child will SLEEP thus breaking that vicious circle which parents know only too well.

  • Where the skin has been scratched this will heal
  • Dead/dry skin will exfoliate away
  • New re-hydrated skin will come up eczema free.
  • Babies & Toddlers Maintenance

Aalgo bath twice a week for a couple of months Then once a week and any time you feel the slightest dry skin give baby an Aalgo bath that night, teething Aalgo bath every night. Always have an Aalgo bath after swimming in an indoor swimming pool to counteract the effect of the chlorine.

Always use LUKE WARM water if you suffer with eczema 1 to 2 Aalgo baths per week. Any time the child is upset about something bath that night. In our experience talking to parents over the last eighteen years that the most stressful things for children are: Moving house bath every day coming up to, during, and after the move for at least a week until everything settles down then stay on 2 baths a week for a month or two. Starting play school (children may seem very excited about it but it can have a dramatic effect on some children) we suggest bathing every night for a few nights before starting play school and for the first 2 weeks at least. Every September going back to school, and in the run-up to school examinations if necessary. The start of the school year has proven to be a serious problem.

  • Any time they are doing exams.
  • Any time you feel the slightest dry skin get them to bath that night.
  • Always bath after swimming in an indoor swimming to counteract the effects of the chlorine.
  • Instructions for Adults:

2 heaped tablespoonfuls of Aalgo in a LUKE WARM bath.

Bath every day (no showers if possible) we are trying to keep the invisible residue of Aalgo on your skin until the eczema is totally clear. If you want to wash your hair have a shower first, then your Aalgo bath.

Try and have a couple of long Aalgo baths a week, lying back with your neck muscles in the water (most people hold stress in their bodies as tension in their neck, shoulders and back) to totally de-stress and relax.

Have an Aalgo bath every day until totally clear. Once a week thereafter.

Firstly the dreadful ITCH will ease

Anywhere you have scratched raw will heal.

The eczema will die, the dead and dry skin will naturally and gently exfoliate away in the bath.

New skin will appear eczema free.

    Maintenance for Adults:

Always use LUKE WARM WATER if you suffer from eczema. Enjoy having a long relaxing Aalgo bath once a week. If you feel the slightest dry skin, have a bath that night. If you have a very stressful day bath that night. Aalgo bath after swimming in an indoor pool to counter the effects of the chlorine.

    Neurodermatitis:

This can be very irritating as it developes where one has tight clothing which may rub or scratch for example at the back of the neck, ankles, wrists, outer fore arm and under the bust. It appears as a rash or redness and is usually very itchy

    Follow instructions above for bath.

    Statis Dermatitis/Eczema:

Affects the lower leg where fluid build up in the tissue beneath the skin interferes with the bloods ability to nourish the skin thus placing extra pressure on the skin from within.

    Instructions:

1-2 tablespoons Aalgo into a bucket of LUKE WARM water

Soak feet for a minimum of 20 minutes daily until problem solved.

Afterwards pat your legs and feet dry with a towel, and do not put them in shoes or socks until the next day as this will allow the air at your skin and give the seaweed a chance to be absorbed through the pores and rehydrate the skin from the inside out.

Do this daily until skin is clear.

When skin is clear do this 2-3 times a week to keep skin clear

The above treatment is also wonderful for leg ulcers.

Seborrheic Dermatitis/Eczema: Go to scalp treatments

Dyshidrosis: Go to hand or foot treatments
